Goulet Q&A Episode 14, Traveling with Fountain Pens

I actually wasn't really sure how many questions I'd get when I solicited questions for this week's Q&A, especially because I already have a Fountain Pen 101 video on both Flying With Fountain Pens and Pen Storage, but you all came through for me! I got a lot of great questions about carrying, storing, and traveling with pens in cars and planes. 

Goulet Q&A Episode 13, Open Forum

This week, I went back to an Open Forum, taking any questions that came along through Reddit, Facebook, Twitter, Ink Nouveau, YouTube, and email. I ended up with more questions than I had time to answer, but I was able to squeeze in 19 before I had to run. I had at least 10 other good questions that I'll save for a future Q&A.

The questions this week are a bit all over the place, asking me about flex pens, my faith, inks for artists, smoothing nibs, freezing inks, and product lines at GouletPens.com.

Goulet Q&A Episode 11, Using Your Fountain Pens

This week, I'm talking about Using Your Fountain Pens. I ended up getting so many questions, SO many questions, that I am splitting them up into next week's Q&A. I received a lot of questions about troubleshooting pens, so next week's theme will be Troubleshooting Your Fountain Pens.

I start off the video talking about Fountain Pen Day, Kaweco pens coming back to Goulet Pens, the TWSBI 580 Rose Gold, the launch of our Thanksgiveaway contest, and the start of NaNoWriMo. After I talk about all this for a couple of minutes, I dive right into the questions, and really cover a lot in a short period of time. This is a packed vid!

Goulet Q&A Episode 8, Inside the Goulet Minds

This week's Goulet Q&A episode is Inside the Goulet Minds, where we took questions about how we started our company, and why we do things the way we do them. We didn't get a lot of questions, but that's quite alright because the ones we did get were really, really good! And we're a bit long-winded anyway so we had no problem filling the time and then some. If you've ever been curious about how we came about, or if you miss the dynamic that Rachel and I had during our live Write Time broadcasts (now canceled), then you will love this video.

Goulet Q&A Episode 7, Open Forum

This Q&A was an open forum, so I was just taking any questions that came my way. I had a backlog of some questions I hadn't answered in previous weeks, so this was a great chance for me to answer those. Next week I'll be doing another theme, this time called "Inside the Goulet Minds". Rachel (my wife) and I have both been through a lot building our company from our dining room to our warehouse, and we've done a lot of different things that some might consider unconventional. Goulet Q&A Episode 6, Inks Part 2

This week is Part 2 of my Goulet Q&A topics of "Inks". I have a variety of great ink questions that I was able to answer this week. I got so many questions about ink from announcing the topic two weeks ago that I had to split it up. Next week I'm going to take a little break from the Q&A theming thing, and go back to just an open format where you can ask me any question about ink, pens, paper, or whatever else that you want.

Goulet Q&A Episode 5, Inks Part 1

I set this week's Goulet Q&A theme as "Inks", but clearly that was too broad of a topic! I ended up getting a slew of questions, so many that I had to split the video up into two parts, and even that won't answer all the questions I received. So, I'll give it my best shot. Part 1 here features broader, more general ink questions that touch on a host of different ink properties and recommendations. Part 2 will go a little deeper and answer some more specific questions. At least that's what I was shooting for, it ended up really just being kind of a mix! Anyway, if you want to learn more about ink, at least what I think about ink, these videos should help you. Goulet Q&A Episode 4

This week marks the 4th Goulet Q&A, and to mix things up a bit I decided to focus on the topic "Getting into the fountain pen hobby". I've done a number of Fountain Pen 101 videos intended for the beginners in our fountain pen world, and my motivation for them was to make it easier to get a start than what I experienced when I was trying to figure it all out myself years ago. This Q&A is intended to fill the gaps of anything I might have missed in those videos, and answer any questions you have that I didn't think to include.

For next week's video on Friday, Sept. 20th I'll go with the theme "Ink". You can ask me anything you want to know about fountain pen ink, ink brands, properties, how to choose the right ink, anything along those lines. Enjoy!
